Its been a year and 3 months since I last had sexual intercourse with another human being.

So here was my saturday:

9:00 - Talked to my special lady I met on MTC for about an hour until she had to go to sleep.

11:00 - Tore my room apart looking for my iPod chord to no avail.

11:30 - Walked to my nearest branch of WaMu to deposit some checks. My branch is unfuckingbelievably nightmarish to go into. Its always a long wait but today was exceptional. In the one hour (!) wait to be helped by a teller,I made friends with a very pleasant and respectable man named Dave. He gave me his info for if I wanted to hang out with some decent people. Finally, some decent people. Finally. I might not have to dwell in my room unhealthily for too much longer.

12:40 - I walk up Vermont Ave. to go to a book store Ive been meaning to check out for awhile. I forget what its called but it seems to focus on art, music and film related books. My goal was to find an Anthology/Collection of THE MAXX comic book, and/or CRACK UP AT THE RACE RIOTS by Harmony Korine. Not surprisingly I found neither, as the Harmony Korine book is long out of print and sells for over 100 dollars on ebay, and Im not even sure THE MAXX anthology exists. I did however stumble upon this coffee table book consisting of Photographs of Cuban buildings and mostly the insides of them. I fell in love with this book and wanted to buy it badly. Except it was 75 dollars and with all my upcoming medical bills, I decided I would have to pass, which broke my heart. There was not only some of the most amazing photographs Ive ever seen in there, but also some of the most amazing buildings, rooms, design, etc. If you know me, Im a sucker for old buildings/structures/whatever. I must have been looking at the book pretty intensely because I looked up and these two cute girls standing across from me were smiling in my direction. I dont know if it was actually at me but I slunk out of there before I bought the book.

1:00 - Walked around Vermont/Hillhurst. It felt good to get out and walk around in the sun even if Im still having difficulties breathing. I almost go to see THE DARK KNIGHT in the old VISTA theater but instead spontaneously call my friend Dave to hang out with him. Before I head to his house, I take some pictures with my silly little QuadCam Camera I bought at the Whacko store on Hollywood Blvd.

2:00 - I grab this weird 35mm camera to take to Dave's. Its this old dusty USSR-made Zenit camera with a zoom lens on it. I found it in a box of stuff I recently moved from my moms house and Im guessing I stole it from my High School photography class. I also found a shoebox filled with different lenses, most broken or in bad shape. I dont know if they fit the Zenit but im interested to see what i can do with them. Along with the Zenit, I took the QuadCam, and some extra 35mm film. Then I head to Dave's.

2:30 - I bring Dave two of my Xanax cuz he ran out of his prescription and cant get it filled till Monday. Thats right, everyone and their mother gets panic attacks once they move to Los Angeles apparently. After watching a pretty awesome Space Ghost Coast to Coast with guests Thom Yorke and Bjork (as space ghosts wife), we head up to his roof to take some pictures. There is a bee's nest up there and occasionally I get chased around by this on bee that wants to fuck my life up. Im not allergic but still, I dont need anymore medical problems. I play with the Zenit and take some pictures of the gross Silverlake skyline. It seems to be a cool camera but we'll see once the pictures come out. I knew those 4 semesters of Photography in high school would pay off some day.

4:30 - Low blood sugar brewing, I head back home to eat, do laundry and clean my room a bit. I make myself a delicious spinach wrap. I watch THE BAXTER which is pretty rad. You might have to be a fan of Micheal Showalter and those guys though.

6:30 - Absolutely exhausted from my day and my undetermined medical problem which makes me exhausted all of the fucking time, I put on Alejandro Jodorowsky's El Topo. I pass out. I wake up to find that the movieI put on is as crazy as Ive heard about. I watch the last half not having a clue what is going on, but not being able to look away. Some downright amazing shit within a pretty rough film. I think I might sample some of it for an upcoming collaboration between Garageband the Band and whatever Eli's rap band is called.

Now after I finish this, Im gonna work on a mix Ive had in the works for awhile now, work on a photoshop project Ive been working on for 7 (!) months now, and then talk to my lady cuz shes getting off work.

I didnt even have to use my AK
I gotta say it was a good day

I Heart Wacko! een I'm so happy I have someone to talk about Jodorowsky with. I've got his box set coming to me in the mail. Just wait until you see the John & Yoko produced "Holy Mountain." Confusing, hilarious and stunning.

I have in fact seen Holy Mountain (I was really high though). It blew my mind and led me to El Topo.
