hey it is me jon. jon raby remember me.
i know i dont write much anymore. too lazy. i am glad to see all of the new crew members. welcome my friends that i dont know. i have decide to start writing because i am on a vacation and thought you guys might like to hear about it, and it will be good for me to be productive a bit.

i arrived in Zihuantinejo 3 days ago with my two amigos bingham and jeremy. it was quite a trip. much waiting and anticipation but when we got out of the plane it was glorious. like in the movies when "folks" (me) fly ine to some smally jungle airort and get off the plane on a staircase. i raise my hands or my hat and say hola mexico, el sol shining down on me hard (alread have sunburns) and la aire libre flodding my senses. i enterend into a climate and culture that i have never known.

it is very awesome here. a bit of a turist town, but not too much not like ixtapa the next town over. i have not been there yet, but is suposed to be very white and expensive. there is some real culture here. on the second day we moved into the city, and off the expensive beach hotel. angela´s hostel. today i found the morket place and bought some furit, much need fruit. the people here are definatly real, catoring to turist a bit, but real. i like them. they are friendy and relazed. and like to laugh at the silly gringos. ahh haa ha. lol. it is sweet here.

beer is expensive....expecially in strip clubs. last night i got very drunk and spent about 100 dollar on a few drinks and a lap dance. the drinks being the most expensive part. ahh las chicas mexicanas es muy bonitas. i feel like i can let loose here. i dont care about how badly i got ripped off because it was fun and a learning experience. for instance dont buy tw shot of tequilla when you first walk in...40 dollars. 400 pesos. aye crumba. i dnot know what this trip holds in store for me but i am up for just about anything. i am free. and i dont give a fuck. i would like to meet some nice ladies...if you know what i mean. and dont really have a reason not to try, because fuck i am in mexico what is there to worry about. if i look stupid...well i already i am a gringo.

for now amigos i am going to say adios. i will write again.
until then...i love you guys. adios

hola amigos

that's right, jon, fully embrace your gringo-ness. when in a latin american country, play the gringo card as much as possible. especially with the cops. but not with cab drivers who are trying to rip you off. or anyone else who is trying to rip you off, for that matter. this is what a semester in ecuador taught me...
